We’re proud to announce that Kaimanu Darryl Aplaca-Christopher has been awarded the Perseverance in Volunteerism Key Volunteer of the Year Award by The Triangle Nonprofit & Volunteer Leadership Center!

Kai has volunteered 365 hours since December 2024 at the Clayton ReStore, bringing dedication, enthusiasm and a strong desire to grow. He loves to help shoppers and donors.

In the back corner of the Brier Creek Habitat ReStore, Core Volunteer Paul Leifer leans over a grey upholstered footboard, donated that morning with missing parts. By the time he’s through, it will enter the sales floor transformed into a beautiful new bench.
