Update! The Clayton store is now open. Visit the location page to learn more.

In January 2018, Habitat Wake joined forces with Habitat Johnston to build more safe, affordable homes. As part of that new partnership, we are opening a Clayton ReStore!

The Clayton ReStore will be one of eight stores operated by habitat Wake in the Triangle, with locations in Apex, Cary, Durham, Fuquay-Varina, Raleigh (Raleigh Boulevard and Glenwood Avenue) and Wake Forest. Proceeds from these stores support affordable housing opportunities in our community.

The Clayton store is slated to open in mid-June. In the meantime, we need your help! Stock the store by donating, or volunteer to help open the store.

In addition to opening a new ReStore, Habitat Wake has already started completed construction of one affordable home in Clayton. Another home is planned for Selma this fall. As in neighboring Wake County, Johnston County’s population has grown significantly (13 percent between 2010 and 2016). More than 17,000 families in Johnston County are cost-burdened, which means they spend 30 percent or more of their gross income on housing.

By shopping, donating and volunteering at the ReStore, you will help these hard-working families realize their dreams of affordable homeownership!

Here are some ways you can keep in touch as we get closer to the grand opening, so you can be the first to know when our doors are open:
