Another one down: building a house funded by round-ups!

You've probably heard that your Triangle ReStore purchases help Habitat build homes throughout our community; but did you also know that you can double your impact simply by rounding up to the nearest dollar?

At the beginning of this fiscal year, we set a challenge to raise $170,000 in round-up donations to fund a Habitat home. Thanks to your generous donations, we have met that goal!

Your extra pennies have helped turn local families into homebuyers, and that is no small change! These dollars, quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies have been added up to cover the cost of land, development and construction materials needed to build a Habitat home.

Habitat Wake operates the ReStores, but the profits go to all three affiliates where our stores are located. When you round up your purchase total at the register, you are supporting Habitat for Humanity of Wake and Johnston counties, Habitat Durham and Habitat Orange, just like ReStore sales do. You can be confident that when you shop, donate and round up at the register, your money is supporting Triangle families!

Habitat for Humanity builds homes that are made to last and provide cost-saving energy efficiency, all while looking fabulous. Your roundups are helping Habitat build these homes, and make them affordable for your neighbors.

This goal could not have been achieved without ReStore customers, and we are so appreciative of your support as we work together to build homes, communities and hope.

To celebrate this amazing accomplishment, all 10 of our ReStore staffs spent a day onsite at our newest community, Old Poole Place, to build the house funded by your round-ups! Check out the pictures below.

One house down, many more lives to change.
