Treasure Hunt with the ReStores!

We are seeking skilled volunteers who have experience curating, identifying and appraising high-value furniture. The ReStores often receive valuable items that deserve the spotlight, but we don’t always know how to price them.

If you’re an expert who loves all things antique and you have a few extra hours on your hands, you can help us raise more money for our mission! We are looking for talented treasure hunters who can help us spot and price high-value items so we can maximize our donations.

The ReStores collect tax-deductible donations from individual and community donors and resell these items to the public. We are lucky enough to have a strong donor base and we have beautiful pieces donated to us regularly. We seek to be good stewards of the items we receive, and a skilled antique appraisal volunteer can help us do just that.

That money goes to support Habitat’s mission to build more affordable homes in the Triangle area. One in four families in our community is cost-burdened, meaning they spend too much of their income on housing at the expense of other necessities like healthcare, groceries and transportation.

When you volunteer with the ReStores, you are putting your skills to use and investing in your community. Our work is not possible without our dedicated volunteers. We hope you’ll join us!
