For the past 20 years, one team member has been a steady, joyful presence at ReStore, bringing hard work and heart to everything he does.
Originally from Karachi, Pakistan, he came to the United States in 1980 and built a career in chemistry, working for over a decade in the pharmaceutical industry in Chicago before transitioning to a role at IBM. When layoffs hit, he found himself searching for stability. That search led him to ReStore in 2006, when the operation was just starting out in a small warehouse in Raleigh with only a handful of employees.
He witnessed firsthand the transformation to the now large and bustling Raleigh Blvd. location. He later became part of the Brier Creek team when it opened in 2018.
Mohammad has continued to show up with the same commitment and positivity he brought to the organization 20 years ago. He has built lasting relationships that reflect his kindness and generosity, and people recognize him in all our ReStore locations.
Outside of work, his life centers on Faith and family. He spends much of his free time in prayer or helping at his local mosque and enjoys spending time with his family.
We are grateful for Mohammad’s unwavering dedication, integrity and warmth over the past two decades. His contributions have strengthened the sense of community that defines who we are. Thank you, Mohammad, for the countless ways you’ve made a difference through your work at Habitat for Humanity!
