Open for business, open for volunteers!

If you are looking for opportunities to give your time to your community, and you feel safe doing so, we invite you to join us at the ReStores!

COVID-19 has left many of us feeling uncertain and disconnected, and many people have been looking for ways to (safely) support their community through these difficult times. While we couldn't offer that opportunity back in the spring when our stores were closed, we are able to offer it now. And when you volunteer with the ReStores, you're helping Habitat give more people the opportunity to own a home -- a critical need as we face the long-term consequences of this public health crisis.

We've expanded health and safety measures to keep volunteers, staff, donors and shoppers safe. This includes requiring everyone to wear a face covering, social distancing and disinfecting high-touch surfaces frequently. All volunteers will be asked to answer COVID screening questions before they start their shift.

No experience is required! We will teach you everything you need to know. After taking a tour and doing a brief orientation, you can sign up for flexible two- to six-hour shifts Tuesday through Saturday.

Some ways you can help us:

Are you hyper organized?

If you are out of places in your home to organize have we got the volunteer job for you! We need people who are passionate about order to keep our shelves neat and tidy. The organizing you do today will help support the building of more affordable homes tomorrow!

Are you trying to bulk up?

Use your muscles for good while you work out!  We need your help unloading trucks and making room on the sales floor for our great furniture donations. Replace a gym day with a Habitat day!

Are you the kind of person who gets stuff done?

If you’ve got a few hours we’ve got stuff for you to do! We need help with the daily tasks that keep our store running. This can include anything from taking and processing donations, stocking and organizing the sales floor, answering shoppers questions and helping make the store look great!

Are you looking for a resume boost?

“Volunteer at Habitat ReStore September 2020 - present” sure will look good on your resume! Help us run a great looking store while you learn new skills and add up those volunteer hours!
